This project will result in the exclusion of livestock from Bonaparte Creek with the exception of one hardened rock watering point. It will develop a well as a water source for livestock including 5 stock tanks and approximately 5,300 feet of associated pipeline for water conveyance. Construction of a hardened rock watering point and relocating a corral will also be included. Currently, existing fence prevents livestock from accessing the creek. However, two access points concentrate use which has severely diminished bank stability, increased nutrient loading and sediment delivery. Sediment and bacteriological contributions to the creek will be significantly reduced by restricting livestock access to this waterbody.
