A cold ground water fed channel was developed on property located on the west side of the Okanogan River for the benefit of rearing anadromous salmonids. The amount of cold water contributed to this project was minimal. The channel developed allowed the Okanogan to backwater during high flows, creating a place for sediment deposition and off-channel refugia for migrating salmonids during the spring freshet.
