Over the years Wanacut creek has been degraded in the lower 1.5 miles of the stream. Multiple stream crossings, fire lines and reroutes of the creek have taken place. CCT targeted specific areas along the creek to create a more defined channel, establishing banks that have been destroyed by stream crossings and fire lines. CCT also added a clay component to the stream bed to help seal up the stream bed and allow for water to persist longer in the creek to increase rearing for ESA listed summer steelhead.
