This project rerouted 3500 linear feet of channel length to a more sinuous channel of 4500 feet affecting approximately 15 acres of riparian and upland habitat. This involved new channel excavation, placing cobble for bank stabilization, and placing streambed gravel. In the future CCTAFD will be placing Large Woody Debris, planting riparian shrubs and trees, seeding disturbed areas and in 2013; putting the old channel to bed by removing vegetation and regarding the existing channel.
